Duty of care documentation

CHC Waste Facilities Management will provide all documentation to show the waste routes to final disposal point ensuring fully licensed operators are used.

CHC will ensure that correct guidance is given for the safe and secure containment of all waste such as Skips, Bulk Carriers, Drums etc.. On site

C.H.C. prepare an Annual Duty of Care document detailing:

  • The description of the waste together with the EWC code and how the waste is contained
  • Details of the current holder and producer of waste
  • Carriers name and address together with their carriers license registration number
  • Disposal location name and address together with the site license registration numbers
  • Each of these sections is signed by the relevant person who has the authority to certify that this information is correct. Once this document has been signed by all the relevant parties concerned it is copied and from these we compile a :-

Duty of Care Documentation File

This file contains a copy of every annual Duty of Care document as detailed above with a copy of all Carriers Licenses who will be taking waste from your site. This file is sent to the Environmental Champion for that site or other nominated person and all updates sent to that person on an ongoing basis.

Every time we use a new carrier for a particular waste stream a Duty of Care document will be raised and when it has been signed by everyone a copy sent to the person holding the Duty of Care file.

As another backup we also provide each site with an A5 triplicate Duty of Care pad, each time a collection of any waste is made this form is filled in with details of that particular collection with one copy being given to the driver, one copy kept on site and the third copy sent to our office which we keep on file.
